This weekend sees the climax of the cricket season and what a finish. There are four teams who can win the Premier League of the Home Counties and by a stroke of fate all four are playing each other in the last league game of the season. One of the teams is ARCC first who are currently second and are at home to the High Wycombe fourth team. The game starts at 11.00.
Henley, who are third, are at home to the current leaders Finchhampton. Whilst the permutations are complicated, we must beat High Wycombe to have any chance. So all support would be appreciated – if we win it could be a night to remember.
The third team will be at home to Oxenford whilst the second and fourth teams are away at Westbury and Buckingham respectively.
Also, Saturday is not the only important date of the weekend. On Friday as well as the last junior training night we have the always popular junior awards night together with bar and BBQ.
On Wednesday, the 11th, we will host two games in the Over 50’s 40 over Cup. On the top field Cornwall will play Essex starting at 12 noon. At the same time Oxfordshire third team will play Hampshire third team in the plate final.
And finally, next Saturday, 14 September we have the annual President’s match followed by the club ball.
