Next week a decision will be made by Oxfordshire County Council on whether to lower the speed limit in urban areas and village streets across the county.
Pilots are already underway, but taking this step in other parts of the county would, says the council, help make roads safer and more pleasant for those who are walking or cycling. If agreed, towns, parishes and villages will be asked to apply if they are interested.

Note: Aston Rowant has just been granted a 20mph limit for village side roads. This may help the parish council bring there same to Kingston Blount.
