Police are appealing for any information or CCTV footage regarding a burglary that was committed in Kingston Blount on 19th September 2024 at around 17:30hrs.
White males wearing surgical face masks in a Silver Audi A3 on stolen number plates are believed to be responsible.
A further burglary was committed at 18:00hrs in Chinnor with the same vehicle involved.
Police also believe the suspects in the burglaries are the same individuals knocking on doors offering Guttering Cleaning.
Any information regarding both, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 43240453681.
Please report ANYTHING that is suspicious and let the police deal with the matter. While the parish is a bit of bubble, we need to be alert.

The Berkshire Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust’s Community Network was set up last year to help support groups already up and running in the three counties, as well as to inspire people to start their own community groups and take action for nature.
This year it received lottery funding for this project, which means it can look to expand its reach across the three counties, and host more events bringing people together. There’s more detail about the Community Network in https://www.bbowt.org.uk/news/community-network-wildlife-wins-ps83000-lottery-boost
Over the next few months it is focusing on Oxfordshire and how it can reach more community groups, and individuals, who care about nature. The network is running a series of free workshops across the county, with our first event being plant identification in Cholsey this Saturday, 21 September. To sign up to this and our other events, see the events page here: https://www.bbowt.org.uk/communitynetworkevents

A note from SODC:
There is great news for children and families looking to cool down in the summer sunshine before the end of the school holidays.
GLL, which manage the outdoor pool and splash pad on behalf of South Oxfordshire District Council, has agreed to an extension to the opening season this year. The Riverside outdoor pool and splash pad in Wallingford will now stay open a week later than anticipated.
The pool and splash pad would usually close on 1 September. Taking into account the predicted good weather and timing with schools returning, the plan is now to extend the opening until Sunday 8 September to allow everyone more time to make the most of these popular facilities.
Thame Cycling Club will be riding up and down Aston Hill (the A40) 76 times in aid of Helen and Douglas house.
The full details are in the attachment below. However, the club is well aware of the need to not create a nuisance and so will aim to keep no more than 20 cyclists on the hill, spread out singly, at any one time.
