Thame Cycling Club will be riding up and down Aston Hill (the A40) 76 times in aid of Helen and Douglas house.
The full details are in the attachment below. However, the club is well aware of the need to not create a nuisance and so will aim to keep no more than 20 cyclists on the hill, spread out singly, at any one time.
The parish has two propane gas bottles that it needs to dispose of and is inviting parishioners to make an offer for them as a pair or singly!
Bottle 1 has a tare (empty) weight of 17.4kg. On scales it weighs 35.4kg so that leaves around 18kg of gas inside.
Bottle 2’s tare weight is 18kg. On scales it weighs 35.6kg so there’s around 17.6kg of gas left in that one.
As a guide, the parish paid £62 each in 2022.

We’re pleased to confirm that the Kingston Blount play area was opened on Friday 20th July following two weeks of refurbishment works.
The initial feedback from families who have used the new and improved playground has been incredibly positive and we hope that the facility continues to service and delight local children for years to come.
We are grateful to everyone that has helped us to deliver this phase of the project and we’d like to give particular thanks to Peter Tinson, Cllr. Helen Birks and our chosen supplier – Discovery Timber Play – for making this a reality.
We are currently working to finalising some small finishing touches and we also hope to provide an update on the delivery of the zip wire and picnic bench seating soon.

A large solar farm is likely to be proposed for a site adjacent to the parish – either side of the M40 from Nethercote to Salt Lane in Postcombe.
It’s not an official planning application yet. However, the firm behind the site recently held a consultation for the public. The documents from the presentation are below. Please take a moment to look at them and if appropriate, send a comment.
